3D-Card-Hover-Effect
2024Interactive 3D card that tilts toward your cursor
A flat card is boring; a card that leans toward your cursor as you move over it feels alive. This project builds exactly that — a 3D hover effect where the card tracks the pointer, tilting on two axes with perspective and a subtle light sheen so it reads as a physical object catching the light.
The implementation is intentionally minimal: HTML for the card, CSS for the perspective and transitions, and a compact slice of JavaScript that maps cursor position to rotation. It's a clean reference for the mouse-to-transform technique that powers a lot of modern 'premium-feeling' UI.
Highlights
- Cursor-tracked 3D tilt using perspective and dual-axis rotation.
- Light/sheen layer that makes the card feel like a physical surface.
- Tiny footprint — HTML, CSS and a compact vanilla-JS handler.
