Terms & Conditions
These Terms govern your access to and use of the Meroidea website, learning platform, courses, downloadable projects, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, purchasing a course, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Meroidea (“Meroidea”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), an online education platform offering courses, open-source project code, and written articles across cloud, AI, and full-stack development. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Meroidea.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity under your account.
Keep your credentials confidential. For your security, the platform enforces a single active session per account — signing in on a new device signs you out elsewhere. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
3. Courses, content, and your licence
When you purchase a course or access free preview lessons, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and view that content for your own learning. Unless a specific item states otherwise, you may not resell, share, sublicense, publicly perform, or redistribute course content, and you may not circumvent access controls or share your account to give others paid access.
The first lessons of each course are provided free of charge as a preview and may change or be withdrawn at any time. Course content may be updated, corrected, or reorganised over time.
4. Open-source projects
Project source code offered for download is licensed under the licence stated in its repository (for example, MIT). Your use of that code is governed by that licence. Absent a stated licence, the code is provided for personal, educational reference only.
5. Payments and pricing
Prices are shown in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are payable at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider, Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card details. You authorise us (via Stripe) to charge the amount displayed at checkout, including any applicable taxes. We may change prices at any time, but changes do not affect purchases already completed.
6. Refunds
Courses are digital goods delivered immediately, so purchases are generally final. As a goodwill measure, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase provided you have not completed a substantial portion of the course. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer-protection laws. Where our services fail to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy that we cannot contract out of.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, or redistribute paid content, or share account access to bypass payment;
- attempt to breach, probe, or circumvent the security of the Service or other users' data;
- upload malicious code, spam, or unlawful, infringing, or abusive content;
- use automated means to overload or disrupt the Service; or
- misrepresent your identity or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
8. Intellectual property
The Service and its original content, features, branding, and design — excluding third-party or openly licensed materials — are owned by Meroidea and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding without prior written consent.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (including Stripe for payments, Supabase for authentication and data, and a hosting/CDN provider) and may link to external sites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties, and your use of their services is governed by their own terms.
10. Educational disclaimer
Our content is provided for educational purposes on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we make no guarantee of any particular outcome — including employment, certification, exam scores, or results — from using our courses or materials.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meroidea will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant course in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights available to you where you live.
